Born in Chicago the actress developed an interest in acting after attending a class at the recommendation by a close friend. Her passion for the art was evident right away. Later, she moved to San Francisco and began to work as a cook to support herself in addition to receiving training through the American Conservatory Theatre. The actress was featured in numerous stage and TV projects in Chicago. Camacho appeared in her first screen appearance in an episode on the 2007 children's television show "Come On".
